We purchased these for soccer season. While they are true to size in the waiste the git was a little flared out and loose leaving it qeird to not wear some form of Spanx type shorts underneath. The color and quality was great though very soft and color vibrance is true to photosOrdered for our pre-teen daughter because they looked like a moderate length short that is comfortable to run around in for the summer. She LOVES them. The only down side is they are a little shorter than pictured and they roll up a bit on the legs to make them even shorter. It's not a problem running around the house or the yard but if you are looking for moderate length shorts to wear to school these probably aren't them.Great purchase and no regrets just wish they were the length shown.Daughter loves these. Appropriate length. Soft and colorful.My daughter loves these shorts. We had to remove the drawstring though because after washing the string began unraveling. The only reason i didnt give them a 5 start. The sides go up kind of high with the slit I guess you would call it but the shorts are a tad big on her though so maybe once she gets a little bigger that will change. She is 7 wears a size 10 normally and I got the 10-11yrs size. Besides the string they have held up nicely and the are soft and she loves them.Strings came out in washer an died other clothes that were with them on first wash. My daughter loves them ?I loved the price and the colors, but they didn't fit. So I returned them.They fit a little odd on the belly. My 6 year old is petite and she will definitely not need to use the strap to tighten them even though the smallest option to buy was 7-8. I thought they would be too big. She needs to roll the belly strap once to feel “normal”. She loves the pattens and they are really bright and soft. I would DEFINITELY add some knots or beads to the waist straps or else you will lose them eventually in the wash. See pic. This is cool - Each pair was rolled with a hair tie that she can use and also came with sunglasses ?Its big for my 6 yr old. She can wear it. But it is oversized.Los shorts son bonitos tienen buen estampado y la tela se ve bien, vienen amplios pero no demasiado mi niña es muy delgada y le quedaron bien, solo están un poco alto de a abertura de la pierna pero con una puntada se arregla, ya van tres puestas y se mantienen lindos los colores muy bien por el precio
