I decided to purchase these shorts based on other reviews I read. I am short (not even 5’2”) with an athletic build (135lbs)and a group exercise instructor teaching 12 classes weekly. Usually bike shorts are too long or too short. I don’t like to teach in the CrossFit style Booty shorts, and other bike shorts tend to be past mid length of my thigh making me appear shorter. I LOVE the length of these shorts. The inseam is just under 4” and that is perfect for my size. Gives the coverage I need without making me look like I should have just worn pants. Typically I wear a size medium in athletic bottoms. I have a small waist, but boast some meat on the backside and quads. I decided to size down to a small based on reviews. These shorts have plenty of stretch to size down, and the high waist was very comfortable. While these do not cinch your thighs and create a weird fat bubble as I like to call it, I do wish there was slightly more compression through the bottom part of the leg. That’s my only knock from giving these shorts 5 stars. I did order 2 additional pair on Prime Day. I will continue to wear these shorts on day so teach strength classes as well as everyday wear
