I am a woman with weird feet. I wear a women's 9 wide, but quite often a women's wide is not wide enough. Therefore, sometimes I turn to men's shoes to get a proper fit. I ordered a men's size 7.Rockport shoes, even those designed for women, tend to be styled in a non-gender specific way. These shoes look like Rockports, but I think they cannot be identified as just a men's style for the women's shoes look similar.The fit: For me, just about perfect out of the box. I have wore them for a day and they are conforming to my feet quite nicely. Good arch support. Width is perfect.Construction: The uppers are leather and are breaking in well. The color is a rich brown and matches one of my favorite purses. The soles of these Rockports is by Vibram and that is a definite plus, for every shoe I have ever had with Vibram soles lasts a long time.Bottom line: Glad I ordered them!
