I got a hook stuck in my favorite shorts for fishing and needed a quick replacement. When fishing I carry my wallet in back, my car fob (preferably in a pocket I can close), a pair of pliers, and a wash rag tucked into the waist. I prefer nylon or other artificial fabric because it is easy to clean slime and scales off them with the wet wash rag.I am size 38 waist and since I am carrying stuff in the shorts I went with XL, turned out to be a perfect fit, nice and loose but the drawstring still draws tight at the waist.Back pocket with zipper for wallet ... checkA pocket on each side with zippers for car fob ... checkPocket on the left side lower down (cargo pocket) for pliers ... checkFabric is substantial. Comes nicely packaged in a strong ziploc bag that I can use to store fish fillets in my cooler, so double plus good.My other hobby is wildlife photography (mostly birds) and they are good for that too. I hover between a 35 and 36 inch waist so I ordered the large and they fit perfect.Looking for light feeling shorts with pockets for this hot @$$! Summer!. Not athletic but casual looking. These feel like nothing and look good. Best I found!
