I ordered my first pair of these Baleaf 12-inch shorts in navy. Within a week I decided to order a second pair in black, then a third in dark grey. They are by far the best shorts I've come across in years. Potential buyers should note that as indicated on their Amazon page, these shorts come in different fabric blends with the navy and black ones I ordered having a 88% cotton content with the remaining 12% being the spandex that gives them their shape and greater flexibility. The dark grey ones is a predominately cotton/ploy blend with just an 8% spandex content. I find the cotton/poly blend gives a less tapered and less attractive fit, is of lighter weight and to my eye has a rather lower-quality look about it precisely because of its less structured fit. The high cotton content and greater spandex content of the navy and black looks much better, is more comfortable and thicker, and is quite flexible while retaining its shape. I therefore use these pairs as casual summer street wear whenever I can as well as in the gym; deploying them on top of a pair of warm-weather compression pants allows for use into the colder months. The grey ones are reserved mostly for lounging around the house though I do wear these to the gym at times. These qualities make these shorts preferable to any I have had in as long as I can remember though this may just be a matter of taste that each potential buyer consider for himself. The length is exactly what I wanted. At 6'2" and a bit over 200 pounds, I find short shorts extremely unattractive and unflattering on men in every way and have been looking for ones that reach the knee without looking ridiculously baggy and dated for what seems like forever before coming across these. My only regret is that the cotton/spandex blend that I like most don't come in a broader choice of colors.
