I bought these two years ago and still wear them regularly. They have withheld probably over 50 washes. I’ll list the issues first. They are cheap, no getting around that. They do pill after a while. I like that the pockets have zippers but they are cheap metals zippers. The pull tab bent after being in the dryer and finally broke off recently. I like how they look, but again they are cheap. The draw string is really bad unfortunately. Not a fan of it. Like something in a cheap sweatshirt. Sizing is off. They are very large. I ordered a small and they fit like a medium in the waste. The liner is a nice addition, but it’s not executed perfectly. Now, should you get them? Yeah, I don’t see why not. They are pretty nice looking in black. That’s really the selling point; how nice they look. I don’t know how well they would hold up to squatting or lifting, but I’m sure they would be okay. Honestly, I think they should be priced at around $15. Not bad, but not great. The stitching for the pocket is really badAfter searching countless websites to try and find shorts like Fabletics where it has that liner pocket and didn't cost an arm and leg. I found these.I like the quality, although the liner pocket could maybe be about 2 - 3 millimeters wider for phones that have cases or that can fit some of the larger newer phones on the market. The The Ad says to "order a size larger if you like a loose fit".While I wear a size XL in slacks I usually feel comfortable in a size "L" for gym shorts. Not these. When I bend over, they "ride down" in back and I find myself pulling them up quite often. But on a POSITIVE. I absolutely LOVE the built-in i-Phone pocket these shorts provide! The standard front (and rear) pockets are on the smallish size (for holding a phone) but there's no need for that with the hidden pocket! Plus the other pockets are zippered to keep your keys and cash in place while working out. I would purchase again if offered in an XL.Using the size chart provided I bought large. I'm 5' 10" 170 and wear a 33 inch Levi slim fit jean. waist is ok, but a bit big. Of course you can tighten with drawstring but I had a bunch of extra material at the waist. NO compression at all. Actually, the liner was very loose on my leg.All that being said, they seem to well made. I'm exchanging for Med.I ordered one pair of shorts and liked how they fit. The zipper on one of the pockets broke after just a few uses, and while it was disappointing it wasn’t a big deal since the other picket’s zipper still worked. I ordered two more pairs, the same size as the first, but they were much tighter in the waist than the first pair that I ordered. Within a couple weeks of use, zippers on both of the new pairs had gotten stuck and stopped working, too. I’ve also noticed that after several uses (with washes in between) the fabric maintains an odor that I can’t seem to get out. Overall these are comfortable shorts, with nice features like zipper pockets and a cell phone pocket on the inside liner, but with the inconsistent sizing, the problems with the zippers, and the way they hold odors from sweat, I would be hesitant to purchase another pair.short shortsI have a couple different brands of these trainings shorts with built in compression and these are by far the worst in regards to compression. The compression is very loose, doesn’t contain you while running, and they slide up your thighs constantly. I’m 5’10” 170lbs, and definitely not someone who skips leg day.The shorts are great, the compression sucks. I’ll probably cut the liner out and use my regular compressions shorts.
