I returned this shoe because Brooks significantly changed the design of the Transcend. It has a narrower tread area than earlier versions.Im not a runner. Im on my feet all day. I’m flat footed & overpronate. I can wear these for 12 hours plus. So comfortable-great cushion & support. Im normally 11.5 in brooks for women. I bought men’s 10 & fit perfectlyThese shoes were exactly what I wished for. They fit good and were very comfortable. Eliminated foot pain I experience as my job requires me to walk a lot of asphalt at race tracks. I have a foot problem that this shoe allows me to use without inserting my orthotics.Nice but 4 where better.Sturdy shoe, bought for my son for running in, he's 6'2 and weighs 220, provides good support, needed cushion for his feet.Very early on, but I'm optimistic that these will continue to provide the support that the adrenalines (GTS 17) provided.I am a beginner/intermediate runner, I’m big boned (fat) and getting back in shape.Started running again beginning of this year, got a standard pair of trainers that had started to age and no longer fit for purpose. I have been learning about improving my running technique and addressing some injuries unrelated to running, this led me looking into something that had reduced drop, would help with my over pronation, encourage mid foot striking, wide toe box and have plenty of shock absorption for my big bones! It is a lot to ask from a shoe and I have been obsessing over shoe reviews and types of trainers to buy. The shoes arrived today, I did a 4.5 K jog in them on my lunch break and they tick all those boxes, they feel really plush underfoot, my knees love them, they appear to be well made and last the test of time.My initial concerns are that they are on the little heavy side and will be hot in the summer, toe box is only just wide enough they also feel a tad loose around the heel/Achilles area, however it could be the plush cushioning feeling!Well worth the buying.I purchased half a size larger than normal and the fit is good, I could of maybe gone a whole size up as the toe box is only just wide enough.If I remember I will post an update. Do not hold your breath!These have lasted really well. I use most days for running 8-10 miles mostly on footpaths. Really comfortable and long lasting. Have just purchased a 2nd pair.Quality running shoes, very comfortable, give plenty of spring and low impact. Highly recommend for runners.This is my second pair of transcend 5's and best price i've found at £89 (inc delivery).Delivery was 3 days from placement of order.ExcellentMy 4th generation of this shoe, need I say more?
